Wolfgang Klaus Juergen Spreen, 67 of Middleburg, FL died July 17, 2012. Mr. Spreen was a native of Germany and moved to the United States in 1998 to reside in Maryland and moving to Middleburg in 2009. Mr. Spreen retired from AOK Insurance Company with the Government of Germany. Following his retirement he worked with the Church of the Brethren in New Windsor, Maryland until 2009.  For the past three years, Mr. Spreen has served as a volunteer at the Clay Hill Elementary School.

Survivors include his wife Susan Adler, children Britta Porto, Ina Spreen, Kevin (Lorriane) Jones, Karen Weimert and Michelle (Jon) Ford, one sister, Ingrid Payne, and nine grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-7:00 pm Thursday evening, July 19, 2012, at Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home with Funeral Services being held 11:00 am Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the graveside in Evergreen Cemetery of West Minster, Maryland.
