In loving memory of our dearly departed, John (Uncle Ben) M. Benenate, he entered the Navy after high school, in Kansas City, Mo., as an Aviation Electronics Mate. He then went work for the Federal Government, working for NARF (Naval Air Rework Facility) and later it became NADEP, as an Aviation Production Control Specialist. He retired after 37 years from NAS Jax. He is survived by his mother Irene Benenate, his brother Louie, his sister Mary Benenate Paradise, 2 sons, Anthony and Jason and 2 grandsons, all living in Jacksonville, Florida. A brief memorial service will be held Monday, January 23rd at the National Cemetery for Veterans, Located on Lainey Road, off of Lem Turner at 1:30 to 2:00 PM. Following service, family and friends can meet at Olive Garden at the River City Market Place. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the National Rifle Association.
