Steven E. Hinkle, 54 of Jacksonville, FL died October 6, 2011 in a local hospital.  Mr. Hinkle was a native of Kentucky and a resident of Jacksonville since 1984.  He graduated from Asbury Seminary with a Master in Music and served in many local churches including Murray Hill Presbyterian Church, Lakeshore Methodist Church, Kirkwood Presbyterian Church and Isle of Palms Methodist Church.  His current church membership was with Shindler Drive Baptist Church of Jacksonville.

 

He is survived by his wife of 26 years Kathy Hinkle, one sister Rhonda Hinkle, three aunts, Rosena Perry, Marie McFerron and Ruth Perkins, one uncle, Elmo Perkins and several cousins.

 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 9, 2011 in the Shindler Drive Baptist Church with Pastor John Green officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 1:00-2:00pm prior to services.

 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Shindler Drive Baptist Church Building Fund 7100 Shindler Dr. Jacksonville, FL 32222.
