Brenda Joyce Corley, 70 of Middleburg, FL died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at her residence. Brenda was originally from Atlanta and had been a resident of Clay County since 1968. She was founding member and clerk of Freedom Baptist Church in Middleburg and spent her spare time making crocheted afghans for donation to charities for the homeless.
Survivors include her husband Robert J. Corley III, two sons Robert (Martha) Corley IV and Russell E. (Denise) Corley, one daughter S. Leigh Corley, one brother Robert F. (Virginia) Saine, one brother-in-law Don L. (Nettie) Corley, two granddaughters Randi Elise and Emmalie Corley and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, September 19, 2011 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Visitation with the family will be from 7-9:00 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
