Mary Kathleen Burkett, 87 of Green Cove Springs, FL died August 1, 2011. She was the Beloved daughter of Myrtle Dershem, dearly loved niece of John Dershem both of whom were from Piqua, Ohio, mother to and best friend of Linda Parrish, Green Cove Springs, Florida and affectionately known as Mary Kay by her friends.
She was cremated on August 4, 2011 which would have been the 88th year of her life. Her remains will be released in the Atlantic Ocean as was her wish. As in life, her urn will allow a donation to the Ocean Conversancy. Some of her favorite organizations were Ducks Unlimited, National Audubon Society, National Wildlife Federation, Paralyzed Veterans of America, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, The Humane Society of the United States, and The Nature Conservancy. It would be her desire that you might make a donation to one of the above or to an organization of your fancy.
