John Joseph Furtado, 77 of Middleburg, FL died May 23, 2011.  Mr. Furtado was a native of Jamestown, RI and a former resident of Spring Hill, FL for 10 years prior to moving to Middleburg 6 months ago.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW Post 22, Local Operating Engineers #57 and the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department.

 

Survivors include his children John J Furtado, Jr. and Holly (Mark) McCann, 2 sisters Mary Bakios and Anne Vieira, his 6 grandchildren, Meredith, Marcus, Maggie, Coral, Aubrey and Kali, and 1 great granddaughter Bella.

 

He will be laid to rest in the St. Marks Cemetery of Jamestown, RI.
