Diana Mae McDowell, 71, of Middleburg, died May 22, 2011.  Mrs. McDowell was a resident of Middleburg for the past 13 years when she moved from Augusta, GA.  She was an employee of the Middleburg Winn Dixie as a Photo Tech for over 10 years.

Diane is remembered as a giving, loyal, loving and funny woman.  Most people say that she had a kind and carefree spirit and was always thinking of others.  Most of all, she is loving remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.  She will be greatly missed. 

 

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Mel McDowell, two sons Dave (Teresa) Sanday and Alan (T) Sanday, three daughters Lorie (jc35geph) Hebert, Dana Foster and Tara (Geoff) Mattiuzzo, two sisters Georgia Petherbridge and Linda Banfield, 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

 

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, May26, 2011 in the chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Judy Weeks officiating.  Burial; will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 10-11:00 prior to services.
