Mary Frances Wells, of Fleming Island died Friday, February 11, 2011.  Mrs. Wells was a native of Evadale, AR and a resident of Clay County for the past five years when she moved here from Sarasota which was her residence for 23 years.  Prior to Sarasota she was a resident of Conway, MA.  She was a member of Harbor Baptist Church in Fleming Island.  As a student, she was a “Top Scholarâ in high school, raised on the farm, a homemaker, then as her boys grew, worked at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts.

 

She was a devoted wife to her husband of 66 years Carlton Wells, and a loving mother to her sons Carlton Wells, John (Martha) Wells, Stephen Wells, Peter (Marianne) Wells, and William (Suzanne) Wells, 1 brother Robert (Emma) Darby, 1 sister Jean (Jim) Barksdale, 8 grandchildren.

 

Funeral Services were 11:00 am Wednesday, (February 16, 2011) in Harbor Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Jewell officiating.  Burial  followed in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
