Lawrence Edward “Eddie” Conley, Sr. 78, of Hollinger Island, AL (Mobile) died Saturday, August 24, 2013. Mr. Conley was a resident of Mobile, AL for 35 years and was born in Crossville, TN (Cumberland County). He served in the US Navy aboard the USS HA Bass (APD-124) as an engineer during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW Post 250 of Bell Fountain, AL.

Mr. Conley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wade Eston and Lillie Burnett Conley who resided in Monterey, TN, parents, John Marvin and Louverna Chaffin Conley who resided in Crossville, TN, six uncles, Elbert Conley, Hubert Conley, Albert Conley, Willard Conley, Arnold Conley, and L.D. Conley, one aunt, Vincie Odesty Conley Welch Boston, two brothers, Lonzo Earl Conley who resided in Texas, John Thomas “JT” Conley who resided in TN, one sister Lillie Christine Conley who died as an infant and two ½ sisters, Johnny Irene Choate who resided in TN and Sharon Conley.

Survivors include his children, Lawrence Edward Conley, Jr., Sandra Lynn Lumpkin, Lorri Ann Higgs, Susan Pearl Pryor, Linda Jean Regan, Patrick Wade Conley, and Brandon Brooks Moore, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Woody Cemetery in Crossville, TN along with Military Honors.
