Dorothy Boyden Walt, 96 of Fleming Island, died Wednesday August 8, 2012. Mrs. Walt was a native of Bay City, Michigan and a resident of Fleming Island for over 20 years having moved from Chicago, IL. While living in Michigan, she was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Kiwanis Club and a Gray Lady with the Bay Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Sterling George “Butch” Boyden and John William Walt. Survivors include her daughters, Anne Carmichael and Jeanne (David) Young, one brother Kirk (Ardith) Timm, three grandchildren, Christene Young, Laura Garrison and Elizabeth Darley and six great grandchildren, Lene’, James, Brandt, Kaelyn, Rylyn and Brennen, and by 2 step children, Bill Walt and Barbara Johnsen.  Mrs. Walt was also preceded in death by her step daughter Claudia Walt.

A small gathering of family and friends will be held at the Allgero Fleming Island.
