Robert D. Darling, 81, of Green Cove Springs, died June 13, 2012. Mr. Darling was a native of Davenport, Iowa and had been a resident of Green Cove Springs for the past 35 years when he moved here from Jacksonville. He attended Black Creek Baptist Church and retired after 20 years from the US Navy as a flight attendant.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Janie Darling, two daughters, Bobbie Ileane Darling and Susan (Richard) Shaffner, two grandsons, Timothy Wager and Robert Strader.

Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
