Touchton_pic_optMichael John Touchton, Sr. 54 of Middleburg, died Monday morning at his residence.  Mr. Touchton was a native and lifelong resident of the Jacksonville area and graduated from Orange Park High School Class of 1975.  He was a past employee of John Mansfield and was an independent commercial fisherman for over 20 years.  He had a love for fishing and hunting and was described by his family as an “outdoorsmanâ.


Survivors include his wife Erin M. Touchton, son Michael Touchton, Jr., parents John and Betty Touchton, sister Robyn (Hamden) Baskin, niece Rachel and nephew Randall.  He is also survived by many cousins and other relatives.


Memorial Services were held 11:00 am Thursday, August 4, 2011 in the Russell Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating.  Visitation was from 10-11:00 am prior to services.
