Julie Morgan Dukes, 57, died quietly at her home Friday July 31, 2009 following an extended illness. Mrs. Dukes had been a resident of Jacksonville most of her life where she was a past employee of the Southlake Nursing Home as the Assistant Activities Director and later working for Dr. Tommy Thomas. She was a member of Mandarin Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her daughter-Eve (Chad) Bryant, son-Adam Dukes, mother Wanda Morgan 3 brothers Mike, Bobby and Hogan Morgan, 2 sisters Kathy Ashley and Susan Morgan, 3 grandchildren Austin McCann, Dallas Bryant, and Peyton Dukes, father of her children Warren Dukes.
Mrs. Dukes was preceded in death by her father George Morgan and a sister Hazelene Sheffield.
Funeral Services were held 1:00 pm Monday (August 3, 2009) in the Mandarin Assembly of God Church. Pastors Steve Powers, Ron Nichols and Ken Barney officiated with Melanie Dolezel singing Amazing Grace and The Anchor Holds.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials be made to: Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
