David Gene Trowbridge, 59 of Green Cove Springs died Monday May 11, 2009 following an extended illness.  Mr. Trowbridge was a resident of Clay County and a graduate of Clay High School where he was a member of the 1967 State Champion football team.  Prior to his retirement in 1993 from Prime Pipeline he was owner of B&D Pipeline Company.  He was a member of Russell Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years Brenda Trowbridge, 2 sons David (Jennifer) Trowbridge and Michael (Cecelia) Trowbridge, 1 daughter Genell (David) Mobley, 3 brothers Ronald (Eva) Trowbridge, Johnnie (Doreen) Hall, Jerry (Beverly) Hall, 2 sisters Nancy (Brian) Russell and Cherri (Terry) Sullivan, father and mother-in-law Lawson and Doris Hagan, 8 grandchildren, Ashlee Thompson, Bryce Trowbridge, Michael Trowbridge, Jr., Matthew Trowbridge, Olivia Trowbridge, Billy Mobley, Cody Mobley and Allison Mobley.  Survivors also include several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.  Mr. Trowbridge was preceded in death by his parents Albert Trowbridge and Evelyn Trowbridge Hall and father-in-law Willie R. Clayton.

 

Funeral Services were held 2:00 pm Friday May 15, 2009 in the Russell Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Baker and Rev. Eric Burch officiating.  Burial followed in the Heritage Section of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
