Richard Paul Schumacher, Sr., 51, of Jacksonville, died December 1, 2011 following an extended illness. Mr. Schumacher was a lifelong resident of the Jacksonville area and was a past employee of Adams Homes as a construction superintendent. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He leaves behind his loving family; wife of 33 years, Debra Schumacher, children, Amy (Justin) Knight, Richard Schumacher, Jr., Dean Schumacher and Daniel Schumacher, one brother, Carl (Cindy) Schumacher, two sisters, Ellen (Sam) Harvey and Heidi (Joe) Jones, and one granddaughter Bella Schumacher.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Stalter Schumacher and Dorothy Parkyn Schumacher.

Memorial Services will be held 6:30 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Todd Jones officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Community Hospice, 5450 Ramona Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
