Wendy Susan Thomas, 61 of Green Cove Springs, died Monday evening, September 19, 2011 at her residence.  Mrs. Thomas had been a resident of Green Cove Springs since 1996 when she moved here from Pensacola, FL.  She was a medical records technician for Clay Behavioral in Middleburg for over 10 years where she volunteered in many projects.  Her hobbies included fishing, traveling, spending time with family and friends, Jaguar Football and helping with many community service activities.  While living in Pensacola she was a champion bowler winning many local tournaments in the Pensacola area.

 

Survivors include her husband of 34 years John “Dannyâ Thomas, 3 children Katherine Michelle (Allen) Gates, Suzanne Leigh (David) Baisden and Shawn Daniel (Christina) Thomas, 2 sisters Leanne Bailey and Karen Shaffer, mother-in-law Dorothy E. “Grandmaâ Thomas, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

 

Visitation with the family will be from 6-8:00 Thursday evening, September 22, 2011 at Russell Haven of Rest.  Funeral Services will follow 11:00 am Saturday, September 24, 2011 in the chapel of National Cremation and Burial Society in Milton Florida with burial in Serenity Gardens.  Visitation in Milton will be from 10-11:00 prior to services.  The family asks that friends who order flowers have the flowers sent to National Cremation and Burial Society of Milton, FL.
