Elizabeth Ruth Schlimper, 89 of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away June 23, 2011 after a prolonged illness.  Mrs. Schlimper was born in Mineola, NY on September 22, 1921.  She retired from the New York School System and moved to Pine Knoll Shores, NC where her interest included gardening, sewing, reading, tennis and golf.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Harry W. Schlimper in 1989.  Survivors include her two sisters Dorothea Reed and Eleanor Langendorfer, 11 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Services were held 11:00 AM, Monday, June 27, 2011 in the chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Father Rene Robert officiating.  Interment will be in New Bern National Cemetery of New Bern, NC.
