Tommy Junior Roland, 57 of Green Cove Springs, FL died Monday, May 16, 2011.  Mr. Roland was a native of Jacksonville and moved to Green Cove Spring in 1964.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the State of Florida and for Solite before becoming disabled.  His was a member of Russell Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include his wife of 36 years Sharon Roland, children Richard E. Day, Lisa Ann (Ronnie) Moore, and Kathy Day, 2 brothers Jimmy and Ernest Roland, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister Sherrie Lee.

 

Memorial Services were held 11:00 am Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery and Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Baker, Paul Salazar, and Ron Surrency officiating.  Mr. Jimmy Weeks assisted in song.
