Pastor Robert D. Grubbs, 73 of Jacksonville, FL died March 22, 2011 in a local hospital.  He had been a resident of the Jacksonville area for the past 23 years when he moved here from New Jersey.  Pastor Grubbs was very active through Christian Fellowship Outreach Ministry.

 

Survivors include his wife Johnnie Grubbs, 3 sons, Dana Grubbs, Robert Grubbs and Anthony Grubbs, 2 daughters, Gwendolyn McCormick and Michelle Grubbs, 6 stepchildren, Richard Brown, David Brown, Tom Brown, Johnnie Mae (Ezzard) Arrington, Betty Smith, and Rose (Ouadi Bougrine) Brown, 2 brothers, James Grubbs and Razell Grubbs, 3 sisters Versie Jones, Mable Coleman, and Glenda Davis, many grandchildren and a host of great-grands.

 

Funeral services were held 11:00 am Saturday, April 2, 2011, in the Faith Community Church of Orange Park with Assistant Pastor James Harris officiating and eulogy by Pastor Sidney Bellamy.  Burial followed in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.  Visitation with the family was from 10-11:00 am prior to services.
