Parker_pic_optJim Edd Parker, 72 of Jacksonville, died February 9, 2011.  Mr. Parker was a native of Milan, GA and resident of Jacksonville since 1965.  He retired after 40 years as an Elevator Mechanic and was a member of  IUEC Local 49 union.  He served his country in the US Army.

 

Survivors include his fiancé’ Shirley Ann Jones, children Alan (Debbie) Parker and Angie (Fritz) Smith, brother Henry Parker, 2 sisters Annette Wilson and Diane Tankersley, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

 

Memorial services will be held 11:00 Tuesday, February 15, 2011, in Russell Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Eason and Bro. John Drury officiating.  Visitation with the family will be prior to the services.
