On Wednesday, September 15, 2010 Veronica Marie “Ronnieâ Walits Dudash entered into eternal rest surrounded by her husband and daughter, after a brief fight with Pancreatic Cancer.
Born and raised in Passaic, New Jersey, she attended Pope Pius High School. After graduation she worked in New York City and enjoyed attending polka dances where she met her husband, Frank. After moving to Manville, New Jersey in 1968, she worked for Johns Manville before staying at home to start a family. Ronnie eventually went back to work, at Manville High School Cafeteria before retiring in 1994, upon moving to Florida. Ronnie loved nothing more than caring for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all of us.
Ronnie is preceded in death by her father, Frank Walits; a son Francis. She is survived by her loving husband Frank; daughter and best friend Diane and her husband Jody Dykes; mother Mary Walits; brother Frank Walits and wife Maryann; brother and sister-in-law Bunny and Tom Jubak, nieces Karen Jubak, Sue McConegehy, Joanne Danckwerth, and nephew Tom Jubak.
Memorial Services will be held at 3pm on Friday, November 5th, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church, Fleming Island, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice or the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund in her honor.
