Ellis “Hermanâ Gibbs, 63 of Middleburg, died quietly at his residence Thursday morning.  Mr. Gibbs was a resident of Clay County for 26 years having moved here from Brunswick, GA.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

 

Survivors include his wife Donna Gibbs, 2 sons Jason (Crystal) Gibbs and Jonathan (Andy) Gibbs, 1 brother John Curtis (Shirley) Gibbs, Jr., 1 sister Ann (Bill) Tyler, 2 grandchildren Jonathan Carmichael and Tyler Gibbs, 2 nephews Greg Gibbs, Billy (Keisha) Tyler, 4 nieces Beth (Chris) Meaders, Peggy (Donnie) Morales, Angel (Ricky) Hillburn and Lisa Bunkley.

 

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday (May 17, 2010) in the chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Jeffery Lee officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 10-11:00 prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery with Military Honors.
