Goble_optWellington John “Butchâ Goble, 70, passed away Sunday, March 28.  He was born in Battle Creek, MI and moved to Jacksonville Beach in the early 1950s.  Butch was a master commercial artist and started his business in 1958 which was known as Butch Goble Signs and Big Red Signs in both Jacksonville and Green Cove Springs.  He was very skilled and loved his occupation.  Aside from his business, he was an avid boater and loved off-shore fishing with friends.  A friend to everyone, he will be missed by all.

 

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Mary Sue Q. Goble, son John Henry (Michelle) Goble, daughter Mattie Jo (John) Griffiths, 2 grandsons Danny Edward Penberthy and Jack Henry Goble, uncle jc35geph (Betty) Fales, cousin Jack and Frances and many other relatives.  He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Nellie Fales Goble, daughter Tammy Goble Bach, sister Letha Horn and a brother Jack Goble, aunt Letha G. Henry.

 

Graveside services were held 11:00 am Wednesday in Jacksonville Memory Gardens with Rev. Ron Baker officiating.
