Paul E. “Geneâ Carswell, 66 of Middleburg died Monday in a local hospital.  Mr. Carswell was a resident of Clay County since 1980 and attended Russell Baptist Church.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was self-employed in construction.

 

Survivors include his wife of 45 years Nina Carswell, 2 sons Paul (Dawn) Carswell and Shane Carswell, 3 daughters Stacy (Pearson) McMahan, Betty Jo Carswell and Thomasa Tanner, 2 brothers Benny and Michael Carswell, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

 

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Monday in Russell Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Baker officiating.  Visitation with the family will be 1-2:00 prior to the service.
