The love and reassurance from your staff made our darkest hour a little brighter and easier to bear; and for that we will always be grateful. Thanks and my God bless all of you. ~Bonnie Welch |

Thank you so much for being there for us in the loss of someone so special to us. While it makes us sad she has passed, it is easier knowing she is in a better place. We appreciate so much everything you and Russell Haven did in taking such personal care of me and the making of all the arrangements. Especially for coming to my church. It really meant so much to me to work with someone I knew. ~Bill Hudson and Family |

We could not have found a more helpful, kind and compassionate staff if we had searched all over the USA. Everyone knew what questions we needed answered. They helped us through all of the pre-planning and then when we needed them at the passing of our mom and grandmother, they were even more wonderful. We really have to say that everything seemed finished for us when we got through with our time at Russell Haven of Rest and all we had to do was memorialize mom at the church. They even handled the transportation for the burial in Georgia the next day. Everyone who saw Mom Ruby said she was beautiful, just what she would have wanted. Jeff, Anna (Charlotte), Sue, and Jerry we are forever grateful for your professionalism and support. ~Ruby Brown Family, Larry and Bonnie Ragsdale |

Words cannot express how wonderful Sue and Jeff were to me and my family during this difficult time. Everyone was so helpful, compassionate and courteous. You listened to our needs and gave us exactly what our mother wanted. You were able to take care of all her wishes. We were not treated like a number, we were treated like family. We are so very glad that we entrusted our Mom with you. Everything was wonderful. Dear Jerry and Sue, I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity in printing the memorial cards for our team memorial for our secretary, Lana Thomas. The memorial cards really added to the feeling of a true memorial service and that was very important because we had the service in our office. None of us were able to travel to Indiana for the services there. We also enjoyed your presentation and the lovely refreshments you sent, and look forward to working with you in the future. ~Margaret, Haven Hospice |
| The staff were all professional, courteous and most helpful all the time. I was very lucky to know and be friends with the staff and it was easy for me. I'm sure anyone would also feel at ease at RHR.
Thank you all, ~Frank Dudash |

The staff was very comforting, understanding and extremely helpful. Went completely out of their way for us. Without your support and help, we couldn't have done this on our own. You contribution to the service was a tremendous comfort. We are grateful. Thank you again for all that you have done for us!! ~Thompson Family |

A simple "thank you" is hardly adequate to express my appreciation for your willingness to provide the two coverings for the band and our residents for the Memorial Day Celebration held on May 31, 2010 at the Town of Penney Farms Cemetery. This is the first year the band was under cover and they greatly appreciated being in the shade Please express our appreciation to your dedicated and caring staff who provided and distributed cold bottled water. This unexpected treat was well received by our elderly residents attending the service. Sincerely, ~Zella |

Anna, Jeff and the wonderful staff at Russell Haven We never think about the darkest day of our lives being the loss of a grandbaby, let alone a baby we never had a chance to know. During the darkest moments of our lives, your staff showed us so much compassion, understanding, sympathy and love. Throughout the past year and on many occasions, you have listened while I grieved. The moments came from nowhere and you understood, in person and over the phone. I could never have gotten through without you. You made us feel like family and our pain was yours. You are forever in my heart and part of my family. |
| A death in a family can certainly be a difficult time. The unexpected passing of a loved one brings on difficult tasks, one of them being the planning of the funeral. Your facility certainly eased this burden, but one employee in particular stood out among the rest. They were there when we laughed while remembering funny stories, cried with our sadness or was there when we just needed that gentle touch to help us thru. They were not pushy with their ways, stood by and waited for us to reach out and were by our side thru this difficult time. They certainly made a difference and worth every “doggie treatâ she gets. “Sugarâ was outstanding and we certainly were glad that she was there to help us throughout all of this. Also being said, Jeff and Anna were superb and the very best we have seen. They gave unselfishly of their time and had the gentlest ways. They too, certainly made a difference and we would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the future. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such great care of our mother. ~Pat and family |
| Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery and Funeral Home gets my 100% seal of approval! Each member of the staff conducts their job as a professional and as a ministry to serve family’s needs and desires. We chose a Celebrant Service conducted by Sue Campbell, owner and she did a superb job of highlighting the life of my husband. For weeks people who attended the service were telling me what a wonderful service and what a great tribute to John’s life. They provided many special touches that were above and beyond my expectations and while it was a very hard process, they made it a memory to treasure. I thank God for this family and their mission to serve others in the community. ~ Carol |
| I will continue to recommend Russell Haven of Rest to everyone who may have a need. The care and love that was shown was tremendous. It was very personal which is very important to those who are grieving. ~ Lanette |
| The entire funeral was very well organized with a caring staff. My mother was very pleased even in her worst time of sorrow. ~ Shirley |
| We can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us during our time of need. Your guiding and experience were a great help! May the Lord bless you all and keep you safe ~ David and Ruth |
| Loved the staff, excellent to work with; kind, courteous service. Very professional and shows great compassion to the family. Sue, I want to thank you on behalf of myself and my family for making a difficult situation less stressful. It is a terrible loss for my family and I miss my mother so much and it is so hard to think she is no longer with us. I want to thank Jeff and your sweet daughter, Anna, as well. It was a pleasure to work with you all in this difficult time with all you kindness that you have shown us. Everyone, even Father Cody, thought that you all did a fantastic job. My mother looked beautiful and at peace. I myself and my family as well will be dealing with you if God forbid we need this type of service again. Thank you also for the pictures; it was something that I had forgotten to do. ~ Take care, Tresa |
| Everything was done as we requested, and we really felt that you cared about all of us. That is so important when you lose a loved one. Gene loved each of you, we could not have used anyone else. ~ Nina |
| I had family members traveling great distances, some with special needs. Sue made recommendations that would accommodate our situation. She made us aware of the family support group that meets at the cemetery, GriefShare, to help our family overcome the grief that we felt. She shared the small newsletter, which is available to keep our family informed of news and events associated with the cemetery. There was such an outpouring of support that we felt that we had joined a new family ourselves. Now, some months after my wife’s passing, I feel compelled to offer this letter of recommendation. Russell Haven of Rest offers understanding, compassion, and professionalism at a time when you will need it most. They are concerned with your needs, wants, and desires. The owners and staff treat you like family. ~ John |
| RHR was right by our sides for support and guidance and even gave us an outlet to learn how to grieve and how to continue to go on with our lives after such a loss. It was at that point I knew this is where I wanted to be laid to rest when my time comes. RHR could not have given more respect and dignity to my sister Lorie and I know they will do the same for me and my family. I was finally able emotionally to go sit with Anna again a few months ago and plan out my final wishes. I am so thankful for RHR and the continued support they share with my family each and every day. ~ Miley |
| The Least I Could Do My mind was preoccupied with Thanksgiving and cooking when the phone rang and it was Anna, asking to do her a favor. Would I write a short piece for the newsletter, explaining why I had recently pre-planned my funeral? By now you have probably figured out that Anna was a big part of my plans, after all her family owns the cemetery where I will be buried. With their caring and attentiveness it made for easy decisions on my part. Pre-planning is hard enough, so make sure you’re dealing with people that give you the time you need to make the right decisions. Thanks Anna for your kindness. ~ Gene |
| Jeff, Danny and I wanted to thank you for helping us so much when Audrey passed. I know it’s your job and what you’ve been trained to do, but your kindness and compassion was not learned in school. Again, thank you so much. ~Danny and Laura |
| We can never thank you enough, but hope that you know how very grateful we are for everything you have done for us. You’re care and giving ways helped to ease our pain. May what you give so freely be returned to you ten times over. ~ Elaine and Jason |
| Very professional and very thoughtful. It was very thoughtful of Jerry to bring cold bottles water to those of us watching the closing of the grave. ~ John and Patricia |
